Special Spring Update from Budapest

Dear Special Friends,

Hungarian Soldier In Front of Budapest Parliament Building

Last week there was another terrorist bombing here  in Europe.  This time in Brussels, Belgium. Over 30 people were killed and scores injured. ISIS said more bombings were coming to cities throughout Europe.

They even named Budapest as one of the cities they would target.

In the midst of all this we continue to move forward with much excitement about what God has called us to do. Helping key national leaders from Poland to the north to Bulgaria and Albania to the south to help start churches in cities and towns with no churches.

Last week I was in Krakow, Poland with one of the key national leaders we work with and we talked about how Europe is changing. Pastor Wojtek was so excited and we got excited with him as we are helping him to start at least two churches there this year.

Right after than I was in Poland I went to Serbia meeting with yet another Pastor, Miroslav, about helping him to reach more towns and cities with new churches.

Sometimes when I am with these leaders, I wish you were with me to hear some of the touching stories of how they are impacting these towns. I wish you could hear them, in their broken English, talking about how person after person, is touched. From single Moms, to young people to business people.

I told Wojek, the pastor in Poland, last week, “You keep doing what you’re doing and we will keep helping you.”  He told me, “James, you are one of the few mi missionaries that have stuck with us

year after year to reach Poland.” I felt so humbled when he told me this. I knew that it wasn’t just me, it was so many people like you that have helped us, therefore you have helped them.  Sometimes you many wonder what your giving is REALLY accomplishing.

Wojtek could tell you though. . .  And this year we are going to help start at least two churches in Poland and possibly four churches.

SPECIAL FAMILY NEWS . . . One of the hardest things for us serving here in Budapest, is missing our kids in America.  Missing special events that families normally experience together.  Last weekend was Easter and we got to talk to all our kids by phone or FACETIME and that is so nice.  We got to see our eight month old Grand-Baby, Lenora in Orlando, crawl and that was so amazing for us.

Your Missionaries in Budapest, Hungary,

Jim and B renda

PS. Can you or your church help start a church in Eastern Europe?  We give $4000.00 to each new church. Can you help this year on this?
