October 1 2014

Dear Special Friend ,

Where we go to church here in Budapest all the worship is in Hungarian. The rest of the service is translated into English but all the singing is in Hungarian.  We love this. One of the things we have always loved in serving in this part of the world is being at a church and hearing worship in the different languages.

Whether we are in Bulgarian, or Poland or Croatia it is so neat to be part of these services and even though we don’t always know what people are singing we can feel the presence of the Lord. Every once in a while we will recognize a song and sing along quietly in English.

It’s amazing, especially in some of the new churches where the worship team is still learning how to lead, to feel the presence of God. Not too long ago we were in Serbia at a church we helped to start and the Pastors’ two sons were leading worship. We knew just about every song that was sung.         You would probably recognize them too as they are some of the same ones that are sung in Churches in America.

Most people, if they have never been to church before have never heard any Christian music or worship songs. They didn’t even know it existed. It’s so neat to hear from people that have never been to church before talk about the service. They say they “like” the music because it makes them feel “peaceful” or something like that. It’s also neat because many people have never been to a church service before in their lives.

So if you were with us for a month over here you might hear worship in Bulgarian, Albanian, Hungarian and nine other languages. We love it. We think you would too. Thank you for helping us do what we do.

WE ALREADY HAVE THE FINANCES FOR ELEVEN OF THE FIFTEEN CHURCHES WE WANT TO SEE STARTED THIS YEAR. PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER HELPING WITH THE LAST FOUR. We invest $4000.00 in these new churches.

Special Family News . . . Our youngest Daughter Audrianna turns 18 on October 15. She was just nine months old when we moved here.  Now she is a Senior in High School, driving around Budapest, planning for college.

God is Always Faithful,
